Grizzly Ridge gets commissioners’ nod

After a day and a half of deliberation, consultation and consideration, Hamilton County Commissioners Court last Wednesday approved a tax abatement agreement with Grizzly Ridge Solar.

Longtime Precinct 4 Commissioner Dickie Clary said last Tuesday he is supportive of the project, but it involves a great sum of money, and the contract needs to be scrutinized carefully.

“This is one of the most important contracts I’ve ever signed,” he said. “It involves a large amount of money.”

The Hamilton ISD Athletic Booster Club had another successful year for the 2019- 2020 school year.

During that time, the club hosted the Mona Gloff Invitational Cross Country Meet, Lady Bulldogs Volleyball Tournament, Lady Bulldogs Girls Basketball Tournament, Ted Jones Memorial Basketball Tournament, JH Boys Basketball Tournament, Bulldog Powerlifting Meet & the Louis Lowe Invitational Baseball Tournament. All of these events were a huge success!

Want to make you aware of some of our friends that can’t leave their homes, not only because of this COVID-19, but illness and other reasons. I had a very dear friend call me the other day and she no longer can leave her home and her daughter is taking care of all her needs. I miss seeing her in church and am so glad to hear from Lillian Willhelm. She reads our article every week and is doing just what the governor and her doctor told her to do. If you have someone that can’t get out please give them a call and just talk and see how they are doing. No visit at this time, just a caring and friendly phone call to let them know they are missed and thought about. This is a time that some need a little attention and friendly chatter!
