Small Substitutions That Make a Big Difference
Healthy Holiday Swaps; substitute one of these for ½ the fat when baking:
• Greek yogurt, either plain or vanilla flavored
• Fruit puree such as applesauce, bananas, or prunes
• Vegetable puree such as pumpkin, carrot, or squash
Instead of 1 large egg use 2 egg whites. Instead of white flour use half white and half whole wheat flour. Instead of chocolate chips use dried fruit.
