The Hamilton Public Library offered a sneak peek of the new facility and grounds last Thursday and Friday with an open house. Funded through local donorations and several fund-raising events, the new structure is on its original site overlooking Pecan Creek. The building features a vaulted atrium, conference room, children’s room, genealogy suite and the library’s entire collection of more than 20,000 titles including 350 recently added new books for all ages. Designed to be multi-functional, this library now provides for many expanded opportunities and experiences, genealogy research and social functions. With a back terrace overlooking the creek, this contemporary, Texas Hill Country design was built to complement our rich, rural Texas historical styles. The structure features an interesting metal gable roofline, native rock façade, and clerestory windows throughout. More Photos, Page 7A. Staff Photos/Lengefeld
