CDC ranks county high in COVID risk

Hamilton County has been experiencing high sustained COVID positivity rates for the last two weeks with the highest active case counts to date for the pandemic, according to Hamilton County Health Authority Dr. Randy Lee.

600-plus new laws effective Sept. 1

Dailey appointed Main Street chief

Julia Dailey has filled the Hamilton Historic Main Street Manager position. As the downtown district’s revitalization efforts roll forward, Dailey will work on the vitality of Hamilton’s Historic Downtown while supporting the HHMS committees focused on design, promotion and economic development.

In addition, Dailey will promote business opportunities, occupy vacant storefronts, support preservation efforts and foster and generate tourism for businesses.
