ROUGH & TOUGH - Hamilton was represented at LCU Team Camp on the campus of Lubbock Christian University by a pair of Lady Bulldog basketball teams last week. The varsity Lady Dogs posted an impressive 5-3 record over three days while in Lubbock and were eliminated from tournament competition on a buzzer beating shot by number one ranked Farwell. Hamilton’s junior varsity Lady Bulldogs fell to Borden County after playing five consecutive games with only six players on the roster. The young Lady Dogs posted a winning 6-2 record over three days of competition in Lubbock. Former Lady Bulldogs Karsyn Smyth and Morgan Mehaffey coached Hamilton’s varsity during the three-day camp, and manning the clipboards for Hamilton’s JV were former Lady Bulldog basketball standouts Leslie Pearcy, Dr. Robbye Lengefeld and Kristi Wagner.
