- Hamilton High School had seven athletes qualify for and compete in seven events at the Texas UIL Region 1-3A track and field competitions held on the campus of Abilene Christian University last Friday and Saturday. Bulldog regional track finalists included (l-r) Jakob Walton, Taylor Long, Mason Limmer, Caleb Lengefeld, Areben Bullard, Katie Galloway and Macie Parrish. Walton, Long, Lengefeld and Bullard posted a team best time of 3:30.92 in the 4x400-meter relay to place 13th out of the regions’ top 16 teams.

- Hamilton High School senior Haley Payne, pictured, played her final round of golf donning the red and black after qualifying for and competing in the Region 1-3A golf tournament last Thursday in Baird. Payne chalked a round of 102 in her final 18-hole outing. As a member of the 2016, 2017 and 2018 state qualifying Lady Bulldog golf teams, Payne became the only individual golfer to represent Hamilton at the regional tournament over the past four seasons when she teed off for her final round last week.
