State-bound Dogs to host Saturday car wash

The field is now set, and the Hamilton Bulldogs will for the first time in school history be joining 119 other teams in College Station on Thursday, June 27 and Friday, June 28 for the Texas 7 on 7 State Football Championship Tournament.

Hometown softball league attracts more than 220 players

Play ball!

When Tracy Bullard placed an inquiry on Facebook regarding interest in an adult softball league in Hamilton, she never dreamed interest would be so high.

“We have more than 220 people signed up on 16 teams,” said Bullard. “We have church groups, business, friends and family teams.”

The group has been approved by the City of Hamilton. The only rules are normal coed softball guidelines: five guys and five girls to a team with alternating batters.

Kudos

Hamilton High School’s Bulldog football team helped the community last week by picking up brush at the curbs after last weekend’s severe thunderstorms with winds reported up to 75 miles per hour. We love our Bulldogs, and they love their hometown.

Dogs to lead fishin’ lessons

The Hamilton Bulldog football team in conjunction with Texas A&M AgriLife Extension will be offering Fishin’ Camp with Footballers on Saturday, June 15 from 9 to 11 a.m. at Hamilton City Lake.

Incoming third through sixth graders are encouraged to join to in on the fun to talk about fishing, bait, lures, casting and sharing some fish tales. The Corps of Engineers will also be on site to lead sessions.
