Alzheimer’s Association offers virtual training

The Alzheimer’s Association will present a free virtual education program Tuesday, March 16, from 10:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m.

HHS takes bite out of Rattler Relays

Hamilton’s varsity girls claimed their second consecutive track championship, and the varsity boys followed up a runners-up finish in Dublin the previous week with a Tolar Rattler Relays title last Thursday. Hamilton’s junior varsity squads claimed second in Tolar.

Green on honor roll at UMHB

Hamilton High School alum Sarah Green is listed on the Dean’s Honor Roll for the Fall semester of 2020 at The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor in Belton.

Hamilton High School’s ag mechanics team rang the bell last Wednesday for their success showing a custom trailer at the San Antonio Stock Show. Team members are Morgan Mehaffey, Emiley Hale, Denver Poe and Dawson Melde.

Museum meeting

There will be a meeting of the Hamilton County Museum on Thursday, Mar. 11 at 5:00 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall.

Need a book?

Looking for something to read while the library is still closed? The Little Library on the corner or College and Main Street has children’s books - available to all. In the covered area between the sanctuary and Sunday School building (on Taylor St) there is a bookshelf with adult reading materials.

Republican Club meeting

Hamilton County Republican Club will meet on Mar. 18 at 6:00 p.m. at the Lee Conference Center. Everyone is invited to come and bring a friend. We will be going over some of the public school funding through taxes. Refreshments served, so bring something for the pot. We hope to see all of you.

Easter ham fundraiser

St. John Lutheran Preschool is selling Easter hams. 8-10 lb smoked ham are $35 each. Call 254-386- 3332 to place your order before Wednesday, Mar. 24. Pick-up will be Thursday, April 1 at St. John Lutheran Church parking lot.

ALL-DISTRICT: Not including academic all-district honors, five Bulldogs and ten Lady Bulldogs received District 12- 2A all-district basketball recognition for their performance on the court. The Lady Bulldogs ended the season as both district and bi-district champions, and the Bulldogs were District 12 runners-up and bi-district qualifiers.
