PUC suspends disconnects

AUSTIN – In an emergency open meeting, timed to prevent possible disconnections for non-payment Monday, the Public Utility Commission of Texas today issued a series of orders intended to protect Texas electricity customers while leaders in the state consider solutions for the financial aftershocks of the winter storm grid event.

Board extends admin contracts

After a three-hour executive session Monday evening, Hamilton Independent School District Board of Trustees voted to accept Superintendent Clay Tarpley’s recommendation to extend the contracts of certified educators Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum and Instruction Jennifer Zschiesche, high school principal Gina Poe, junior high principal Mona Gloff, elementary principal James Slone, assistant principal OJ Kemp and athletic director Casey Jones by one year until June 30, 2023.
