Early voting ends Friday

Early voting at Hamilton County Courthouse ends Friday for the Nov. 8 uniform election. Local races were decided in the May primaries, but several key state and federal posts, including Texas governor, are on the ballot. At the federal level, John Carter is unopposed for US Representative, District 31.

Hospital to pay off 2007 bond

Hamilton County Hospital District’s board of directors on Monday voted to redeem the 2007 bond series that funded renovation of the Family Practice Rural Health Clinic and construction of the Hamilton Wellness Center.

Aviation launches balloons

Chuck Lackey’s aviation class has taken a new spin on learning the science behind the aerodynamics of hot air balloons. Lackey’s class has been building hot air balloons They made envelopes, the balloon part of the hot air balloon, using only tissue paper and tape.
