James Evans Moore

James Evans Moore, 86, of Cranfills Gap, died June 10, 2019, at Scott & White Hospital in Temple.

A celebration of life service was held Friday, June 14, at Lawson Funeral Home in Meridian.

Mr. Moore was born in Bosque County to Louisa and Bryan Moore on Aug. 3, 1932. He attended Cranfills Gap Schools and graduated in 1950. After serving in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War, he went on to earn a degree in geology from Lamar University. He founded Evans Standard Products Co. in 1971 and operated it in Cranfills Gap for 48 years.

Lydia Kathryn (Harlien) McGhee

Lydia Kathryn (Harlien) McGhee, 63, of Belton, passed away at 12 a.m. June 14, 2019, after a tough two-year battle against glioblastoma multiforme brain cancer.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, June 19, at 10 a.m. at Dossman Funeral Home chapel in Belton with Dr. Alan Stevens of Baylor Scott & White officiating. Burial will be at 2 p.m. in Toliver Cemetery near Hamilton.

She was born to Nora Neville (Hamilton) Harlien and Boyce Noel Harlin on July 9, 1955, in Texas City. She spent her childhood in Texas City, until 1968 when her family moved to Hamilton.

Bobby Dale Moore

Bobby Dale Moore, 54, of Hamilton passed away at home June 15, 2019.

Services will be held Wednesday, June 19, at St. John Lutheran Church at 2 p.m. Burial will be in Jonesboro Cemetery.

Bobby was born on Mother’s Day, May 9, 1965, and his mother said he was the best gift ever.

He grew up in Hamilton and graduated from Hamilton High School in 1983. He later attended the University of North Texas and received a master’s degree.

Roger Paul Schwalbe, 71, of Jonesboro, passed away at home June 8, 2019.

Services were held Tuesday, June 11, at Scott’s Funeral Home. Burial was in Jonesboro Cemetery.

Mr. Schwalbe was born March 14, 1948, in Wichita Falls, to Paul G. Schwalbe and Inez Gillard Schwalbe.

He grew up in Jonesboro and graduated from Jonesboro High School.

He married Joy Faubion Sept. 7, 1968, at Jonesboro Baptist Church.
