No visitors attended the noon public hearing Monday of the Hamilton City Council regarding the proposed 2019 property tax rate.
Another hearing will be held Sept. 12, along with a hearing on the 2019-20 fiscal year budget, after which the council will vote on the rate and budget.
Copies of the budget are available at City Hall.
The proposed tax rate for the city is the rollback rate of $0.5852 per $100 valuation with the increase designated for streets.
The average home in Hamilton, valued at $79,583, would see an increase of about $30 this year.
