Throughout the years, women in business have become a growing population, and one Hamilton businesswoman, Mrs. Anita Adams, will mark 50 years in business on Oct. 10. The owner of Hamilton Floral and Gifts, Mrs. Anita embodies the heart and spirit of Hamilton.

Adams and her husband Jim moved here in 1972 to start a business, a flower store. They originally opened in their front yard and soon moved to the downtown location where the business resides today.

HCT’s ‘Doublewide’ delivers yuletide in the trailer park

Hamilton Civic Theatre will present “Doublewide, Texas Christmas” in November.

“It promises to be a laughing good time,” said Director Duane Cowart.

This comedic production by Jones, Hope and Wooten will begin Saturday, Nov. 5 at 7 p.m.

Ring in the holiday cheer and make your yuletide bright down at the trailer park in Doublewide, Texas.

“Countless volunteer hours have gone in to preparing the stage over the last three months,” said backstage manager Julia Dailey.

The Bosque River Chapter of The Daughters of the Republic of Texas will meet on Tuesday, Oct. 11, 2 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church of Stephenville.
