Friends and neighbors my name is Andy Roberts and I would like to announce my candidacy for Hamilton ISD School Board Trustee. For those who do not know me, I have been a resident of Hamilton County all of my life. I graduated from Hamilton High School in 1996 and spent 8 years in the Texas Army National Guard where I was trained as a 68W Healthcare Specialist. I brought my training home and currently work with the Hamilton County Hospital District with Hamilton EMS helping to make our communities a safer place. In 2012, I married the love of my life Shannan Roberts and became a parent to her two wonderful boys who are now students at Hamilton ISD. I served on the board of the Hamilton County Youth Athletic Association as Soccer Commissioner and I have been active with the Hamilton ISD Band Boosters. You may even remember me from one of my unforgettable performances with the Hamilton Civic Theatre. As an educational institution, a social safety net, and developmental environment, our school is a cornerstone of this community. It not only provides our young people with an education but provides for the wellbeing of children, offers systems of stability in an increasingly unstable world, and opens options for the future. It is with a great deal of gratitude and respect for my community that I ask for your support in this election. I believe that one of the best and most profound ways we can influence the world around us is by caring for our young people. Hamilton ISD has developed a tradition of excellence in the classroom as well as extracurricular activities. It is my hope that I can repre Board.
