Congratulations to head coach Eddie Gallegos and the 2019 Jonesboro Eagles for another incredible football season. Under Gallegos, the six-man Eagle gridiron squad reached the state quarterfinals in both 2014 and 2015 followed by consecutive state championship appearances in 2016 and 2017. Jonesboro became back-to-back 1A-Division I state runners- up, falling to Borden County in both of those years in the title game. The Eagles were 6-5 bi-district finalists last season and were picked by Dave Campbell's Texas Football magazine to finish third out of four teams in District 15-1A, Div.
