Billy Sauers

Billy Glenn Sauers, 78, passed away Nov. 13, 2024, in Mobile, Alabama.

Services were held in Valhalla Memorial Funeral Home. Interment was in Valhalla Memorial Gardens.

Bill was born in Hamilton on New Year's Eve, 1945, the youngest of three children. He graduated from Hamilton High School in 1964.

He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Fred Sauers and Lorene Knipstein Sauers.

Bill resided in Turnerville, Alabama, with his wife Wanda. He leaves four chil- dren, Monte (Dionne) Sau - ers of Texas, Melissa (Steve) Mitchell and Melinda (Rich- ard) Roberts of Louisiana and David Sauers of Turnerville; and grandchildren.

He is survived by a broth- er, Gilbert (Barbara) Sauers, and sister, Ola (Jimmy) Mer ck, all of Texas; a nephew, Cory Sauers; and two nieces, Dee Ann Nelson and Tammy Calcott.

Bill was a devoted husband to Wanda and was welcomed into her family after they married.

He shared a special oncein- a-lifetime friendship with George and Ann Cash of Bay Minette, Alabama.

Bill enjoyed his time in the US Army, often saying it was like serving in F-Troop. He was employed by Kmart for 30 years and served as store manager in Bay Minette, Saraland and Mobile.
