JB Bridges

BONHAM- JB Bridges passed away Oct. 26, 2024, in the Clyde Cosper Veterans Home in Bonham.

Services were in Nov. at the funeral home with Rev. Art Farrow presiding. Burial was in Dodd City Cemetery.

Mr. Bridges was born in Dodd City on Nov. 3, 1931, to Coley and Sallie Bridges.

He married Diane Lange Oct. 11, 2963, in Bonham. They shared 61 years of marriage. They were members of St. James Lutheran Church, Windom (Allens Chapel).

He was preceded in death by his parents, Coley and Sallie Leeth Bridges; sisters and brothers, Flossie (Bryan) DeJarnett, Claratine Bridges, Lester (Della) Bridges, Oscar (Mildred) Bridges, Cecil (Aliene) Bridges, Bertha (Jake) Payne, Mamie Bridges, Pauline (Odell) Churchwell, Paul (Lorene/Sis) Bridges, Mildred Bridges and Lois (Gene) Sorrell; father- and mother-in-law Buddy and Tena Lange; and nieces and nephews.

Mr. Bridges is survived by his beloved wife Diane; loving daughter Cynthia Gossett of Grand Prairie; grandchildren Joshua (Raquel) Gossett of Austin, Ryan (Sarah) Gossett of Fort Worth and Kali (Tyler) Holyfield of Kansas City, Missouri; great-grand-children Blake Gossett of Corpus Christi, Austin Gossett of Arlington and Rowan Holyfield and Ava Holyfield, both of Kansas City; and many nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were Joshua Gossett, Ryan Gossett, Blake Gossett, Austin Gossett, Nick Dorau and Lynn Bridges.

Memorial donations may be made to St. James Lutheran Church, 14394 E FM 1396, Windom, Texas 75492, or a charity of choice.

The family thanks Hospice Plus and the staff of Clyde Cosper Veterans Home who took such great care of JB. You will always be remembered for your kindness.
