Jerry Wayne Fulcher of Hamilton passed away peacefully at his daughter’s home in Lampasas Oct. 18, 2024.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Nov. 1 at Riley Funeral Home Chapel.

Jerry was born July 5, 1948, to Winfee B. Fulcher and Effie Bell Fulcher (Tabers) in Hamilton. He grew up in Hamilton and went to high school in Jonesboro.

Jerry was drafted into the military April 25, 1968, where he spent 10 months, seven days in C Battery, 5th Battalion, 14th Artillery, 2nd Armed Division in Vietnam fighting for his country. After coming home a hero, he married his long-time sweetheart Linda Carol Fulcher (Bankhead) on Nov. 14, 1970.

Jerry spent his adult years raising his family and working at a local feed mill.

Jerry enjoyed all Hamilton Bulldogs sports and rarely missed a game, whether it be little league or high school football.

Jerry and Linda spent their weekends attending flea markets and selling chickens by the roadside outside their home.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Winfee B. and Effie Bell Fulcher; brother Gordon Fulcher; and his wife, Linda Fulcher.

Jerry is survived by his sister Gail Martin; children Monty Fulcher, Tawnya Romo and spouse Oscar and Robert Fulcher and spouse Heather Turney; eight grandchildren, Chariti Fulcher, Landon Fulcher, Alanis Fulcher, Ronnie Romo, Rachel Romo, Rese Romo, Rayley Romo and Jaxon Turney; two great-grandchildren, Allyster Laube and Alaiyah Rhoads; and multiple nieces and nephews, Bubba Martin, Michelle Martin Velazquez and Brandi Simmerman.
