Janelle Zimmerhanzel

Barbara Janelle Zimmerhanzel, 79, passed away peacefully Oct. 24, 2022.

Graveside service will be held on Saturday Oct. 29, in St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery in Shive, where she will be laid to rest. Janelle was born Jan. 14, 1943, in Hamilton County to parents Edward Andrew Fred Witschorke and Elsie Joan Sussdorf Witschorke.

Janelle graduated from Hamilton High School and later moved to Taylor. She worked at Montgomery Ward in Taylor until its closing and would later retire from the Williamson County tax office.

In her spare time Janelle had a passion for sewing, crocheting and crafting. She loved to share her work with friends and family.

Janelle enjoyed going to county fairs and entering her sewing and crocheted items for which she received many awards.

Janelle was preceded in death by her parents, her husband James Zimmerhanzel and her brother James Witschorke.

She is survived by her children, Ronald McAdams and wife Sherri, James McAdams and wife Lennice and Sheri Malish and husband Douglas; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Janelle will be missed by her friends and family.
