Rodney Fisk

Rodney Bruce Fisk, Sr. (Rod) was received into the loving arms of his Lord and Savior on Aug. 12, 2022, with his loving wife Berwyn by his side.

Rod was born in Davenport, Washington, Jan. 4, 1946, to Howard and Mary Lou Fisk. After graduating high school in the mid-60s, Rod enlisted in the United States Coast Guard where he trained and served as a radio operator aboard the USCGC Reliance. After proudly serving his country, he was employed for many years with GE repairing home appliances. In the early ‘80s, Rod started his own business “The Fisk Service Company’’ delivering and repairing appliances in the Austin area. In 1989, he met and married the love of his life, Berwyn.

In life, he was an active citizen in his community and an active member of the Barn Church Ministries. He was an avid motorcyclist, fisherman, first responder and poet. He was a very funny man and the master of telling the best “dad jokes.” There was not much Rod couldn’t build or fix. In

his later years, Rod worked as a small engine repair technician for Shinn Small Engine Repair.

Rod is survived by his wife of over 30 years Berwyn Fisk of Hamilton; sister Lynda Sloan of Salem, Oregon; son Rodney B Fisk Jr. of D’lberbille, Mississippi; daughter Amanda James and son-in-law Jeremy James of Killen, Alabama; stepchildren Richard Craig, Ronnie Craig, Becky Vasquez and Frank Craig; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Memorial donations may be made to Barn Church Ministries, Hillside Medical Lodge or American Stroke Association.
