CW Lambert
Clarence William (CW) Lambert, Jr., 77, passed away Nov. 30, 2021, at his home in Hamilton County.
Services were held at Riley Funeral Home Saturday Dec. 4, with burial in the Center Valley Cemetery.
He was born May 7, 1944, in Bluefield, West Virginia, to Clarence and Margert Lambert.
After graduating from Bluefield High School, CW joined the US Air Force where he served his country for eight years from 1964 to 1972.
During this time, he met and married the love of his life, Mary Alta Vickers on Dec. 23, 1967.
After separation from the Air Force, CW and his young family moved to Hamilton County and began his career with Hamilton Electric Coop and became a long-time member of the Hamilton First United Methodist Church. He retired in 2005 after 33 years at the Hamilton Electric Coop.
After retirement, he and Mary raised cattle and enjoyed being Grandpa and Grandma to their three grandchildren.
CW was preceded in death by his father, mother, sister Nellie Hurley and nephew Kevin Hurley.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years; daughters Cindy and Ty Oppermann of Temple and Debbie and Steve Sanford of Hamilton; grandchildren Shelby and Wes Autry and family of Tennessee and Jacob Sanford and Danielle Sanford, both of Hamilton; and nephews Larry Hurley and Barry Hurley, both of Virginia.
