Albert Peters Jr.
Albert Peters Jr., 97, of Hamilton County, passed away Friday, Feb. 19, 2021.
Burial was in St. Paul’s Lutheran Church Cemetery on Tuesday, Feb. 23.
He was born Sept. 21, 1923, near Shive to Albert Peters Sr. and Clara Siems Peters.
He was discharged from the U. S. Army as a corporal after serving in the European theater during World War II, including as an interpreter at the Supreme Allied Headquarters during the Occupation.
He was confirmed at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Shive, and attended both St. Paul’s and later St. John’s Lutheran Church, Hamilton.
He was a farmer-stockman and took pride in the quality of his livestock, grains, hay and grasses.
He was preceded in death by his parents, infant sister, sister Ella Bolin, brother Alfred and son Alan Kent.
He is survived by his wife of 73 years, Artie L. Krueger Peters; daughters Marilynn Peters (Steve Moon) and Deborah Schuch.
Honorary pallbearers were Steve Moon, Marilyn Chesebrough, Karen Thompson and Angie Wiedebusch.
