LaJuan Hamilton

Doris LaJuan Owens Hamilton, 87, passed away Sept. 18, 2019, at her home in Evant.

Graveside services were held in Hurst Ranch Cemetery in Star on Sept. 21.

Mrs. Hamilton was born March 6, 1932, in Copperas Cove to Everett Anthony and Zula Estelle Smith Owens.

She married Robert Norman Hamilton Aug. 15, 1947, in Gatesville. He died in 2011.

She was a member of First Baptist Church, Evant.

She also was preceded in death by her parents, stepfather Townsen O’Neal, brother Everett W. Owens and niece Sandra Shuttlesworth.

Survivors include daughter Pam Jones and husband Danny, Caldwell; grandchildren Katie Wright and husband Josh, Lago Vista, Becky Ickes and husband Kyle, Arlington, and Ben Jones, Caldwell; great-grandchildren Chance Hill, Zoe Jones and Henry, Charles and Andrew Ickes; stepsister Shirley O’Neal; nephew David Owens; and special friends Danny and Robin Brey.
