Christopher Oakley
Christopher Harley Dwight Oakley, 36, passed away Sept. 14, 2018.
A memorial service will be held in the fellowship hall of First Presbyterian Church Nov. 3 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Mr. Oakley was born Aug. 19, 1982, and had lived in Hamilton on and off since he was 11 years old.
He went to Hamilton schools and was a Bulldog football player. His team members called him “Oaktree.” He graduated high school in Cleburne before moving back to Hamilton.
He was a lover of great Rock N Roll music, fantasy games, reading and his children. Growing up he loved fishing, camping and spending time with friends and family. He will be forever loved and missed by those who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by grandmother Ruth Davee, Nanny and Papa Lloyd, stepfather David Blair, aunt Teresa Atkins, cousin Jason Maas and nephew Ayden Box.
Survivors include his mother Sherrie Oakley of Hamilton; father Roland Oakley of Victoria; sister Heather Oakley of Hamilton; four children, Mistie Oakley, 13, Alex Oakley, 12, Melody Oakley, 6, and Harley Oakley, 4; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and nephew.
Christopher believed in the Indian way of life – ashes to ashes, dust to dust – so according to his wishes he was cremated.
