Cindy Vorheis

Cynthia “Cindy” Marie Siems Vorheis, 71, of Midland, passed away Sept. 17, 2018, in Midland.

Funeral services were Sept. 20 at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Chapel in Midland, and graveside services followed in the Littlefield Cemetery in Littlefield.

Cindy was born Nov. 4, 1946, to Athalia and James Siems in Littlefield.

She had lived in Midland since 1968. She was cafeteria supervisor at Greenwood schools for eight years and worked for Linton Industries for two years.

She was active in the community and was an original member of the Northeast Midland County Volunteer Fire Department. She had a love for animals and would not turn away any stray that showed up on her doorstep. One of her favorite things was genealogy and she spent many hours researching and documenting her family history.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a son, Tommy Vorheis.

Survivors include two brothers, Darrell Siems and wife Dena of Allen and Dean Siems and wife Nancy of Prattville, Alabama; and nieces and nephews Angela Snider of Texarkana, Michael Snider, Clinton Snider and Clayton Snider, all of Allen, and Tasha Siems, Harrison Siems, Kyle Smyth and Joshua Smyth, all of Prattville..
