Jimmy D. Moore

Jimmy D. Moore, 69, of Gatesville, passed away Wednesday Aug. 1, 2018. Funeral services were held Sunday, Aug. 5, in Riley Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Drew Dabbs officiating. Burial followed in Hurst Ranch Cemetery in Star. Mr. Moore was born July 24, 1949, to Earl Rayford Moore and Dorothy Dell Vinghouse Moore. He was an excellent bootmaker and saddlemaker and a very skilled leathersmith. Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his daughters, Christie Moore Canter of Providence Village and Nicole Moore of Gun Barrel City; grandchildren Ashley Moore Rider and husband Jacob of Plano, Devin Canter of Providence Village and Babee Higgins, Jimmy Higgins and Dallas Higgins, all of Gun Barrel City; and two great-grandchildren.
