Vernon Bracewell Dollie Bracewell

Vernon Lee Bracewell Jr. passed away Oct. 5, 2023, in Hamilton. Dollie Charlene Montgomery Bracewell passed away Dec. 21, 2022, also in Hamilton.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, Oct. 13, at 1 p.m. at First Baptist Church with Pastor Drew Dabbs officiating. Graveside services will be held for family at a later date.

Vernon and Dollie were married April 17, 1952. They moved around with his career in the US Air Force. After his retirement in 1970, they moved to Austin. Vernon retired from Civil Service and Dollie retired from the US Postal Service on the same day, April 3, 1992. Shortly after, they moved to Hamilton.

Vernon was active with the Masonic Lodge for 66 years. Dollie became an active member of the Eastern Star after moving to Hamilton.

Vernon and Dollie were preceded in death by their daughter Betsy in 1954.

They are survived by their daughter Cynthia Pass; granddaughter Rebecca Mills; two great-grandsons, Logan Pass and Evan Mills; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
