Tommy Sullivan
Tommy Dean Sullivan, 74, of Hamilton went home to be with the Lord on Sept. 1, 2024, while surrounded by family.
A graveside service was to be held Wednesday, Sept. 4, at 3 p.m. in the Carlton cemetery.
Tommy was born March 4, 1950, to Glyn Arvin Sullivan and Angeline Christine Sullivan. In 1952, Christine married Amos Bagwell, the man Tommy considered to be his dad.
Tommy spent time working for the United States Postal Service before finding his true calling as a lineman.
Tommy married the love of his life, Shirley Sullivan, on July 31, 2003. This is when Tommy said he got his family.
Although they may have been “step,” there wasn’t such a thing in Tommy’s eyes. He loved passionately and was always a kid at heart. Tommy loved to watch football, play card games and eat anything sweet he could get his hands on.
Tommy was preceded in death by parents, Glenn Sullivan, Christine Sullivan and dad Amos Bagwell; and two brothers, Tony Sullivan and David Sullivan.
Tommy is survived by his loving wife, Shirley Sullivan; two “step” children, Curtis Oxley and wife Amber Cox and Mashell Thompson and husband Mike Thompson; four “step” grandchildren, Caitlin Harbin, Hannah Harbin, CJ Oxley and Bethany Thompson.
The family requests memorial donations to Hamilton Community Center, PO Box 615, Hamilton, 76531.
