Todd Lange
Todd Michael Lange, 48, passed away Wednesday, May 4, 2022, at his home in Llano, surrounded by his family.
Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, May 12, at Waldrope Hatfield Hawthorne Funeral Home Chapel in Llano. Services will be 10 a.m. Friday, May 13, at First Baptist Church Llano, with Brooks Hagler officiating. A 3 p.m. graveside service will follow in Oakwood Cemetery in Hamilton.
He was born Nov. 6, 1973, to Marsha and Allen Lange. Todd was a 1992 graduate of Granbury High School. He attended Stephen F. Austin State University and graduated with his bachelor’s degree in 2000 from Tarleton State University.
He married the love of his life and best friend, Melinda Pickett, July 1, 2000, in Hamilton. They remained inseparable until his passing and were together for more than 21 years. During that time, Todd and Melinda were blessed with two beautiful children, Jaxon and Lorin. He adored his wife and children and enjoyed spending time with his family. Todd could often be found playing golf, coaching and watching sports.
Todd was the girls coordinator/head girls basketball coach for Llano High School. He had quite a decorated basketball coaching career, with stops in Montgomery ISD, Rio Vista ISD, Axtell ISD, Anson ISD and Llano ISD.
He was a coach who stressed life lessons through athletics. From E’s and C’s to SOUP to #unwritten, Todd was always looking to challenge his athletes to become more. Todd continues to inspire his athletes with those lessons he taught on and off the court.
He is survived by his wife, Melinda; son Jaxon (Juice) Lange; daughter Lorin (Lolo) Lange of Llano; mother Marsha Lange and husband Tom Christopherson of Cleburne; father Allen Lange and wife Susan of Frisco; and brother David Lange and wife Kelly of Arlington.
Pallbearers will be David Lange, Stephen Stark, Chad Stanley, John Green, Walt Hardin, Matt Green, Ryan Turner and Bill Chilcoat.
Memorial contributions can be made to the Todd Lange Memorial Scholarship or the Lange Family Fund at Llano National Bank.
