Shirley Freeman

Shirley Jean Holloway Freeman, 88, passed away Thursday, Oct. 31, 2024, at Hill Country Estates in Hico.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Riley Funeral Home of Hamilton.

A visitation will be held Thursday, Nov. 14, at Riley Funeral Home in Hamilton from 5 to 7 p.m.

Shirley was born Feb. 18, 1936, in Hamilton to James Burt Holloway and Pauline Little Holloway. She married Harold Boone (Bud) Freeman in 1955 in Hamilton.

Shirley was a telephone operator/clerk for many years and a bank teller for the remainder of her working life.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and granddaughter Sarah Freeman.

Shirley is survived by her children, Kim Raibourn and husband Dan of Hamilton and Dax Freeman and wife Jennifer of Graham; three grandchildren, Russell Thames and wife Amanda of College Station, Cassidy Freeman of Glen Rose and Madison Freeman of Stephenville; and two great-grandchildren, Ryan and Nicolas Thames of College Station.
