Rocky Turner
Rocky Allen Turner passed away peacefully on Aug. 20, 2024, at the age of 71.
Services were Saturday, Aug. 24, at Midlothian Funeral Home.
Born in Dallas on Aug. 13, 1953, to Pete and Mary Bob (Hinton) Turner, Rocky spent the majority of his life in Midlothian and graduated from Midlothian High School.
Rocky worked in the family lumber business and as a reserve police officer before graduating from the police academy. His years in law enforcement with the Midlothian Police Department were some of his most rewarding. Rocky went on to work at Chaparral Steel, Midlothian Mazda and was a self-employed welder and fence builder.
During this time, Rocky enjoyed raising show lambs with his sons Stoney and Cole. Rocky loved to be outdoors and shared his hobbies of hunting and fishing with family and friends.
Rocky married Angie Mc-Culloch in 2007 and moved to Hamilton, where he worked as a ranch foreman. Rocky also worked as a jailer at the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office and most recently retired from the Circle T Inn and Resort where he prided himself in taking care of the guests, especially the Texas Game Wardens.
In his short retirement, Rocky remained patriotic and always supported law enforcement officers at every level. He also enjoyed yard work and piddling in his shop.
Rocky is preceded in death by his parents Morris “Pete” and Mary Bob Turner.
Rocky is survived by his wife Angie; brother Russell; children Stoney (Mandi) and Cole (Kerrah); bonus kids Levi McCulloch and Abby (Derek) Mund; grandchildren Claire (Rylan), Avery, Race, Evan, Maci, Cannon, Ty, Lainey and Brooks; and his numerous cousins.
