Rocky Bates

Rocky Lynn Bates, 36, passed away Oct. 14, 2018.

A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Oct. 20 at Riley Funeral Home Chapel.

Mr. Bates was born Jan. 8, 1982, in Hamilton to Julia Jones and Randy Bates. He was raised with love.

He worked for Blue Bell delivering ice cream to any place he could find a friend.

On Oct. 3, 2015, he married Brittany Flippen. They have a son, Logan Dean. From a previous marriage, he had two sons, Ross Chandler and Ty Cooper, and a daughter, Brinlea Caitlin.

Rocky was a member of Hamilton Volunteer Fire Department. He loved fishing, working on trucks, riding motorcycles, football, and most of all he loved his family, friends and everyone he met. He never met a stranger that didn’t become his friend and was always in a good mood with a smile for all he knew.

Survivors include his wife Brittany; parents Julia and Isaac Jones and Randy Bates; four children, Ross, Ty, Brinlea and Logan; brothers W. Roy, Christopher and Alec; sisters Brittany and Devon; and several aunts, uncles, grand-parents, cousins, nieces and nephews.
