Robert Jason Brumbalow, 44, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2024.

A memorial service was held Tuesday, Oct. 15, at at Riley Funeral Home.

Jason was born Sept. 22, 1980, in Gatesville, the youngest of three to parents Larry and Karen Brumbalow. He was named after his Papa and was very proud of that.

Jason grew up checking the cows, fishing and hunting. He absolutely loved to swim and fish along the Cowhouse creek. He also loved the rain and a good thunderstorm.

He went to Hamilton High School. He worked in plumbing and tree trimming most of his life. He loved to aggravate his sister, Kim Anthony, and brother, Travis Brumbalow. He was very much a “Mama’s Boy.”

In 2010, he married the love of his life, Misti. He gained a bonus son in Skylar, and they had two children whom he adored, Kaleb and Stormie. He also was very proud of his daughter Deejay. His family takes comfort knowing he is made whole again and fishing on the banks of heaven with his Papa and his best friend, T Tom.

He loved his family and very much. They all meant the world to him.

He was preceded in death by maternal grandparents Robert and Martha Carlisle, paternal grandparents Claude Brumbalow, Annie Bell Anthony Brumbalow and an uncle, Bobby Carlisle.

Jason is survived by his mother, Karen Brumbalow; his father, Larry Brumbalow; sister Kim Anthony; brother Travis Brumbalow; son Kaleb Brumbalow; daughters Stormie Brumbalow and Deejay Moses; bonus son Skylar Schofield; nieces London Pulfer (Russell), Hope Anthony and Carlye Brumbalow; and numerous cousins, aunts, uncles and friends.
