Rhonda Cavett
Rhonda Leitko Cavett, 62, of Cleburne died Thursday, Dec. 10, 2020, in Fort Worth.
Services were Tuesday, Dec. 15, at Rosser Funeral Home Chapel in Cleburne with graveside service and burial afterward in Gentry’s Mill Cemetery. Pastor Eddie Scheler officiated.
Mrs. Cavett was born May 3, 1958, in Hico, the daughter of John and Wanda Thornton Leitko.
She was the oldest of three girls, grew up in Fort Worth and attended Western Hills High School. She married the love of her life Tommy Cavett on April 5, 1975. They made their home in Cleburne and were married 45 years. They had four children, six grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She spent most of her life as a homemaker, but also worked several years as an in-home childcare provider before she spent 17 years working at Children’s Palace.
She was a member of Ascension Lutheran Church and enjoyed spending time with her family.
Survivors include her husband Tommy Cavett of Cleburne; daughter Melanie Russell and husband Clint of Mansfield, sons Mark Cavett of Joshua, Kevin Cavett and wife Trisha of Godley and Bradley Cavett and long-time girlfriend Bryanna Etter of Cleburne; sister Regina Schroeder and husband Daniel of Arlington; grandchildren Judge Wilson, Kash Wilson, Stephanie Vogel, Ty Cavett, Ayden Cavett, and Jeremy Welty; and great-grandson, Ryker Vogel.
She is preceded in death by her parents and sister Rita Courtney Bear.
Pallbearers were nephews Ryan Schroeder, Ben Adams, CJ Calhoun, Danny Watson, Jr. Webb and Josh Webb.
