Paul Rogers was honored at the DFW National Cemetery on Oct. 18, 2019, at 2 p.m. There was a full military ceremony including the blowing of taps on the trumpet, the gun salute, motorcycle brigade and the chaplain leading the Lord’s Prayer and Psalm 23.

A huge silk United States flag was unfolded and refolded by two soldiers before being presented to Rogers’ widow, Marian Rogers. It was presented by a sailor in uniform to represent Rogers’ service in the U.S. Navy.

The Patriot Guard Riders presented a plaque to Mrs. Rogers.

At the end of the service, it was announced that Rogers had donated his body to science at the Texas A&M College of Dentistry. Speakers added that they had studied his life history and found an exemplary life.

Rogers’ ashes were interred at DFW National Cemetery.

Rogers passed away October 4, 2016. Survivors include wife Marian Rogers of Hamilton, son James Rogers and grandson Aaron Rogers of Dallas and niece Nancy Vega of LaGrange.
