Nancy Fox
Nancy Kay Fox, 74, of Hamilton passed away Jan. 25, 2023, in Temple.
Services will be Saturday, Feb. 11, at 11 a.m. at the Riley Funeral Home Chapel.
She was born on March 7, 1948, in Austin to Elie and Ila Mae “Miles” Talbot.
Nancy graduated in 1966 from McCallum High School in Austin. After high school, she went to beauty school and became a beautician for many years. Later she went on and met her “Marlboro Man” Winters Fox and they were married on March 7, 1986. They were married for 35 years when he passed in 2021.
Nancy was a hard worker and held many job titles from a beautician, school bus driver, business owner, chef, ranch worker and a few more. However, her most important and probably her favorite was Mimi. She was a Mimi to everyone and that was how she introduced herself later in life.
Mimi loved spending time with her grandkids and great-grandkids and loved taking them to stock shows or to any other events they were involved in. She loved nothing more than sharing her love of a homemade Cajun cooked meal with them all. She was well known for her peach cobbler and homemade banana pudding.
Nancy loved to gamble at the casino, country club or host a poker night at their house with all her girlfriends. She loved to shop and never left the house without a full face of makeup and being dressed in her newest outfit, even if it was just to the grocery store.
She and Winters loved to go to Ruidoso and there they caught the “racehorse bug.” She loved to unwind on the porch in the evenings with a drink. Concerts, old country music and dancing were some more of her favorite things throughout all her life. Mimi was loved by all and will be deeply missed.
Nancy is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Winters, one son, David, and a great grandson, River.
She is survived by her daughter, Denise May and husband Donovon Tallent of Houston; her son Rusty Williams and wife Pam of Dublin; Jennifer Craig and husband Chris of Hamilton; Logan Fox and wife Kara of Seymour; grandkids Kendra Schmidt and husband Tyler of Hamilton, Blain Parrish and wife Brandi of Hamilton, Sarah Sawyer and husband Bryce of Seymour, Brandi Batson and husband Michael of Hamilton, Hunter Williams of Weatherford, Acy May of Hamilton, Haley Wiles and husband Nick of Seymour, Jarred Farmer of Kyle, McKenna May of Houston, Chelsea Williams of Stephenville, Slade Fox and wife Kaleigh of Lubbock, Landon Tallent and wife Renee of Ventura, California, Travis Tallent of Austin and Morgan Janish and husband Josh of Belton; 17 great-grandchildren; brother Bob Talbot and wife Donna of Kingsland; sister Debbie Cain and husband Gary of Elgin; brother Don Talbot of Thrall; and several nieces, nephews and cousins and a host of close friends and family.
