Mary Taylor

Mary Taylor, 79, of Hamilton passed away Tuesday, Feb. 18, 2025, in Hamilton.
Services were pending at press time at Harvest Hills Funeral Home, Hico. Burial will be in Alameda Cemetery in Ranger.
Mary was born March 26, 1945, in Hamilton to Fritz and Esther Sommerfeld Eisen. She graduated from Hamilton High School and married Vernon Odell Taylor in 1962 in Abilene.
She worked at Eddie’s Liquor Store and Leisure Lodge Care Center and later was self-employed. She loved being a grandmother and great-grandmother.
“Uma” was a loving grandmother, devoted mother and friend. She enjoyed watching her grand and great-grandchildren playing and riding bikes. She was known for giving sweets to the kids. She enjoyed life to the fullest and always tried to create a good laugh. She was surrounded by family in her last days and passed peacefully.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Fritz and Esther; brother Johnny Eisen; and granddaughter Jennifer.
Survivors include her children, Pauline and husband John Pringle and Henry and wife Darla Taylor, all of Fort Worth, and Carl and wife Michele Taylor and Vernon Taylor, all of Hamilton; sister Janie Senger; grandchildren Melissa and Dewayne Cornell of Roanoak, Stephanie and Matt Massingill, Carleigh and Jacoby Tye and Brandon and Amber Taylor, all of Hamilton, Brittney and Courtney Taylor of Gatesville, Tiffany and Justin Hyatt of Comanche and Bryce Thompson; and great-grandchildren Kamron, Colton, Stetson, Caseton, Krosslyn, Austin, Aspen, Adam, Maxx, Kobe, Evrytt, Sutten, Lila Grace, Jackson, Lindsey and Kendall.
The family thanks Pecan Creek Nursing Home and Solaris Hospice for taking such good care of Mary.
