Loris Elaine Crouch
Loris Elaine (Moffett) Crouch 88, of Hamilton, departed this earthly realm on March 3, 2024, after a long battle with cancer.
Graveside services were held on March 6 at 11 a.m. in the Oakwood Cemetery in Hamilton.
Known as Elaine to her family and friends, she was born on March 21, 1935 to parents, William Enoch Moffett and Elinor Leo (Keese) Moffett, in Medina, Texas. She grew up in Medina and graduated from Medina High School. She then attended Sul Ross University for three years prior to transferring to the University of Texas, Austin, where she received a BA in Education.
Elaine married Norman Carl Crouch, in Austin on May 31, 1956. They had 49 wonderful years of married life. She was a lifelong member of the Church of Christ and faithful servant of Jesus Christ. Elaine enjoyed discussing Bible topics and studied her Bible daily.
She also loved traveling, cooking and was an avid quilter. She made many quilts for family and friends. She was loving and generous to family, friends and strangers alike.
For most of her career, Elaine worked as a medical assistant at the Crouch Clinic for her husband Dr. Norman Crouch and later for her son Dr. Mark Crouch. She was loved and cherished by many.
Elaine was preceded in death by her parents W. Enoch and E. Leo Moffett, her husband Dr. Norman Crouch, daughter Sarah Ann Crouch, and siblings: Carl Allen Moffett, Maurice Leon Moffett, Walter Francis Moffett, Lawrence E. Moffett, Richard Moffett, and one sister, Mila Evelyn Reese.
Survivors include, sisters: Dolores Uribe, Winifred Thomas, and Sylvia Wilson; son Dr. Mark Crouch and wife Leslie; daughter Esther Smull; grandchildren: Daniel Crouch, Lydia Deaver, Rachael Lawley, Katherine Enges, and Andrew Martin; great-grandchildren: Charlotte Lawley, Miranda Lawley, Keegan Lawley, Aralyn Martin, and Jackson Enges; and a number of nieces and nephews.
