Karol Brumbelow
Surrounded by family, Karol Lynn Brumbelow, 58, left her early home to be with her Lord on Saturday, Aug. 7, 2021.
A celebration of life was held Aug. 13 at Northside Baptist Church in Snyder with her cousin Sonny Garman officiating. Burial was in Snyder Cemetery.
Karol was born Jan. 10, 1963, in Gorman to Carl and Jean Blackwell. She grew up in Hamilton and graduated from Hamilton High School in 1981.
On Aug. 1, 1998, she married her soulmate Mitchell Brumbelow in Snyder.
She loved, beyond measure, her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Having a caring heart, Karol was a devoted nurse and served her patients in many locations for 23 years until finally retiring. She enjoyed rock ‘n’ roll music, dancing, working in her yard and rose gardens at all hours and was an avid rock-hound rock collector with a surplus collection and adored nature.
Loving her dogs was sec ond nature and they were always together. She enjoyed going to her sisters’ houses and hanging out reminiscing and canning like old times. Karol had a passion for helping others and being there when needed. She could always be found enjoying a nice sci-fi show, sleeping, creatively fixing something or pranking someone, especially her sons Michael and Devin.
In recent years, she was blessed with the title of “Memaw” and adored her granddaughter Paisley Jean, with whom she became very close.
Carrying on with her legacy are her husband Mitchell Brumbelow, two sons, Michael Brumbelow and Devin Blackwell and granddaughter, Paisley Blackwell, all of Snyder; two sisters, Kay Hopper and husband Michael and Karla Gardner and husband Randy, all of Hamilton; lifelong best friend Kathleen Windham of Jonesboro; niece Kimberly Gardner and nephews Aaron Gardner and children Cooper and Brooklyn and Kyle Zschiesche and wife Ruth and children Grace, all of Hamilton; cousins Randy Keller and Robert and Xandy Ballard of Snyder; and her two little dogs, Little Bitty and Sugar.
She was preceded in death by her father and mother; mother-in-law and father-in-law Mavis Brumbelow and Kenneth Brumbelow; sister-in-law Lynne Pickett; and dogs Tazz and Little Girl.
