Jimmy Schrank
Jimmy Ray Schrank, 74, of Hamilton passed away on Saturday, Nov. 25, 2023.
Visitation was set for Wednesday, Nov. 29, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Riley Funeral Home, and a funeral service will occur Thursday, Nov. 30, at 10 a.m. at St. John Lutheran Church. Jimmy will be laid to rest in Oakwood Cemetery.
Jimmy was born Oct. 10, 1949, in Gatesville, to Virgie Stinson Schrank and Lehman Edgar (Jim) Schrank.
He was raised and lived in Pottsville until his parents sold the old home place his senior year, and they moved to Hamilton. He continued driving back and forth to Pottsville to finish his senior year of high school.
Jim said his favorite thing to do was dance and drink beer. He said the funniest thing to do was play pranks on his friends. He said the best thing he ever did was marry Brenda. If it wasn’t for her, he wouldn’t have lasted this long.
Jim was baptized Nov. 10, 1949, and received his confirmation March 3, 1964. He passed away at home surrounded by family.
Jimmy was preceded in death by his father Lehman Edgar (Jim) Schrank and his mother Virgie Stinson Schrank.
Jimmy is survived by his spouse, Brenda Schrank; daughters Kim Kent and husband Jason and Gina Poe and husband Derek; sons Rick and Darren Price; grandsons Aidan Spurlock, Denver Poe, Tyler Price and Coltyn Price; granddaughter Averi Poe; and great-granddaughter Zoey Price.
Serving as pallbearers are Jake Murphree, Zac Burks, Leroy Tyson, Butch Fulton, Larry Venable, Joe Sommerfeld, Allen Dodson, Malcome Petitt, David Pointer and James Synatzske.
