Jimmy French

Jimmy Paul French, born Oct. 6, 1974, in Grapevine, to V.A. “Sonny” French Jr. and Jeane Tuton French Doyle, passed away July 31, 2024, in Hico.

A celebration of life for Jimmy will be held at a later date.

Jimmy attended San Jacinto College. He loved music, especially playing guitar, and could play any song request. Jimmy also loved to read anything and everything, from literature to cookbooks… it didn’t matter, he was an avid reader. He also took joy in cooking and loved trying out new recipes. For anyone in need, Jimmy was always will-ing to lend a helping hand. Caring for his beloved pets was another of Jimmy’s interests that gave him both joy and companionship. His cats Pretty, Little and Baby were special pets to him.

Jimmy is preceded in death by his grandparents V.A. “Buck” French Sr., Neta French Lindsay and Willie Mae Tuton.

He is survived by his parents, Sonny and Kathey French, and Jeane and Ray Doyle; his sons, Zachariah French and partner Savannah and Stephan French and fiancé Kasey; brother Zach Phillips and wife Kathi; sister April Morgan and husband Eddie; stepsisters Shannon Manning and husband Andy, Kristin Bayless and husband Matt and Britt McGee and husband Brandon; stepbrother Brent Sandefur and wife Krystal; uncle Tony French and wife Glenda; his cousins and best friends, John Kilgore and wife Patricia and Justin Massingill and wife Jessica; and numerous nieces and nephews that he dearly loved.
