JB Bridges, 92, passed away Oct. 26, 2024, at Clyde Cosper Veterans Home in Bonham.

Visitation was Friday, Nov. 1, at Cooper Sorrells Funeral Home in Bonham. Funeral services were Nov. 2 at the funeral home with Pastor Art Farrow of St. James Lutheran Church in Windom (Allens Chapel0 presiding. Interment was in Dodd City Cemetery. Pallbearers were Joshua Gossett, Ryan Gossett, Blake Gossett, Austin Gossett, Nick Dorau and Lynn Bridges.

JB was born at Dodd City Nov. 3, 1931, to Coley and Sallie Bridges of Dodd City.

He married Diane Lange Oct. 11, 1963, in Bonham. They shared 61 years of marriage. JB and Diane were members of St. James Lutheran Church, Windom (Allens Chapel).

He is survived by his beloved wife, Diane; loving daughter Cynthia Gossett of Grand Prairie; grandchildren Joshua (Raquel) Gossett of Austin, Ryan (Sarah) Gossett of Fort Worth, Kali (Tyler) Holyfield of Kansas City, Missouri; great-grandsons Blake Gossett of Corpus Christi, Austin Gossett of Grand Prairie and Rowan Holyfield of Kansas City; grand-grand-daughter Ava Holyfield of Kansas City; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Coley and Sallie Leeth Bridges; 19 siblings; his mother- and father-in-law, Buddy and Tena Lange; and many nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to St. James Lutheran Church, 14394 E FM 1396, Windom, TX, or charity of choice.

The family would like to thank Hospice Plus and the staff of Clyde Cosper Veterans Home who took such great care of JB. You will always be remembered for your kindness.
