Howard Yeakel
Howard Yeakel Jr., 94, of Fort Worth passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving wife and family, on Sept. 11, 2023.
Funeral services were Sept. 14 at Riley Funeral Home, with graveside following in Pecan Wells Cemetery.
He was born Nov. 11, 1928, in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. He lived the first part of his life in Pennsylvania and Michigan and worked in the printing industry.
He moved to Fort Worth in 1963 and found and married the love of his life, Juanetha Hiller, Aug. 3, 1966. They enjoyed a long, loving and happy marriage and were inseparable for 57 years.
He worked at Bowne of Dallas from 1967 until his retirement in 1997. After his retirement from Bowne, he enjoyed traveling, shopping for and running antique booths with his wife and spending time spoiling his many grandkids and great-grandkids. Most of all, he was a loyal and devoted husband to Juanetha, and he loved her unconditionally until his passing.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Amanda and Howard Yeakel Sr., stepson Ronny Gage and daughter Cynthia Traylor.
He leaves behind his loving wife, Juanetha Hiller Yeakel of Fort Worth; daughter- in-law Sue Gage; grandson Clint Gage and wife Teri; granddaughter Amy Slagle and husband Dan; grandson Steven King and wife Shannon and grandson Eric King; many great-grandchildren, Collin, Tyler, Connor, Steven, Jackson, Avery, Aaron, Avone and Angel; and a great-great grandson, Lonzo.
