Gina Sellers
Gina Marie Sellers, 45, of Hamilton, passed away peacefully on Monday, Nov. 28, 2022, at Scott & White hospital in Temple surrounded by family and friends.
Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 10, at Riley Funeral Home in Hamilton.
Gina was born April 13, 1977, in Rochester, New York, to Linda Senkus and Thomas Imbastaro. She moved to Michigan in her early teens and graduated from Delton-Kellogg High School in Delton, Michigan, in 1995.
Gina worked as a certified optician in Kalamazoo, Michigan, until making a move to Texas in 1999. Gina worked as an optician in Gatesville for a few years before taking a position at Extraco Banks in Hamilton. After several years with Extraco, she joined Melanie Housden at her Financial Advisor office and worked with her for 10 years.
In 2017, Gina took a leap of faith and followed her dream to open a restaurant in Gatesville called the Knife & Cork. Even being shut down temporarily from a fire and going through the challenges of the pandemic, Gina created a very successful restaurant that thrived until her illness caused her to have to close it.
Gina was passionate about life, family, food, her hedgehog Olive and giving back to her communities. She loved feeding people and helping people in any way she could.
Gina married Miles Sellers on March 10, 2001. They have lived in Hamilton throughout their time together.
Gina is survived by her husband Miles Sellers; her mother Linda Senkus and husband Phil; twin sister Christine Kniss and husband Corey; mother-in-law Nancy Sellers; and brother-in-law Kyle Sellers, his wife Kayla and their children Brendan and Sydney.
She is preceded in death by her father, Thomas Imbastaro and her father-in-law, Bobby Sellers.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a charity, cause or organization that you are passionate about in honor of Gina and her generous spirit.
