Fred Massingill
Freddie Wesley (Fred) Massingill passed away July 7, 2021.
Mr. Massingill was born Dec. 16, 1936, in Hamilton to Albert and Bertha (Boling) Massingill.
He attended, graduated and played basketball at Fairy High School.
Fred had different jobs. He worked for Con Vir in White Settlement. He also worked for Fort Worth Steel. He then went to work for the Hamilton Highway Department. He also worked in Dallas for the Fire Department. He spent many years drilling for minerals in Florida, Georgia, Texas and Africa. Fred worked for Bell Helicopter. He finally moved back to Hamilton where he was a contractor and built cabinets. When he decided to slow down, he found he loved junk’in. Junkman Uncle Fred always had something for sale on the Trading Post.
Fred loved to travel and visit family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Bertha Massingill; brothers Clayton and Jesse Massingill; sister Judy Massingill Ross; nephews Anthony and Warner Massingill; and one angel baby girl.
Fred is survived by his children, Tommie Massingill Necessary and husband Keith, Scott Massingill and wife Faith and Crystal Massingill Washko; partner Lela Couch; bonus children, Michelle Eddleman and Miranda Jensen; former wife Martha Taylor Massingill; grandchildren Bryan Necessary and wife Amber Miranda Weaver and husband Houston, Faith Leah Massingill, Kristen Paige Massingill, Dillan Washko and Jet Washko; great-grandsons Logan and Luke Necessary and Brody and Bryce Weaver; siblings Blaine Massingill and Elaine Massingill Heald; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
