Farel Williams
Farel Loyd Williams, 81, of Hamilton, passed away Thursday, Feb. 10, 2022.
Graveside services were Tuesday in Oakwood Cemetery under the direction of Riley Funeral Home.
Farel was born Sept. 19, 1940, to Georgia Loyd Williams and Farel E. Williams.
Farel was born in Hamilton, where he was raised up on the Leon River. He was in FFA and graduated from Hamilton High School in 1959.
After graduation, he went on to school to become an electrician. Farel moved to Fort Worth in 1961 where he worked. He then moved back to Hamilton in 1973. He continued to drive back and forth to the big city to work. He was also a farmer and rancher.
He met his love, Margaret Carpenter, many years ago. They had a great life together, took care of each other and loved each other.
He loved his cows, and he loved to fish, but he loved to play poker. And he was good at it! In his younger days, he liked to calf rope and bulldog.
Farel had many great friends. He cherished his friendships and his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents; grandson Kyle Christopher Hall; stepsons Dennis Eric Cunningham and Timothy Wayne Cunningham; and stepdaughter Debra Huie Taylor.
Farel is survived by his wife; daughters Ronda Williams Wiggam, Robbin Williams Hall and Chris Hall; sons Farel Justin Williams, Dwayne and Heidi Huie and Bently Cunningham; stepdaughter Donna Huie; stepson Clayton Andrew Miller; grandson Ryan Cofer; granddaughters Michelle and Kenny Starks, Morgan and Dan Oliver, Aubrey Williams and Amanda Huie; several great-grandchildren; and many cousins.
