Darlene Lowe

Darlene Babe Lowe, 84, of Hamilton passed away peacefully on April 10, 2024.

Per her wishes, the family and close friends will meet for a graveside service at Toliver Cemetery at a later date.

Darlene was a wonderful mother and will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

She was born on March 2, 1940, in Fort Worth to Bart Oliver Choate and Nellie Juanita Batchelor. She was married to Jimmy “Pops” Lowe in Weatherford on Christmas Day 1960 until his passing in 1996.

Also preceding her in death were her parents and only sibling, sister Ernestlene “Ernie” Rose Merrill, and niece Cindy Wilson.

She is survived by two sons, Alan Lowe and wife Cheryl of Lorena and Richard “Rick” Lowe of Hamilton; grandchildren Leslee Lowe, Jorden Lowe, Hunter Lowe and Tanner Lowe.

The family would like to thank Doris Moncrief and Robin Moncrief Shockley for their love and care for Darlene along with the staff at Hamilton General Hospital during her last few days.
