Cody Milam

Cody Clayton Doc Milam, 30, of Purmela passed away Friday, Sept. 16, 2022. Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Sept. 24 at Boots and Saddle Cowboy Church, 8727 West US-84, Gatesville, with Rev. Max Gunn officiating.

Cody was born Aug. 25, 1992, in Fort Worth and grew up in Lometa. He worked hard as a cowboy at various ranches in the Central Texas area. He was a member of Boots and Saddle Cowboy Church in Gatesville. He was well loved by his friends and community and was a great father and “Uncle Coco.”

He was preceded in death by two sisters, Tani Williams and Jessie Williams; and grandmother Jaci Humble.

Survivors include his mother, Jess Day of Bangs; father Rick Milam of Wellston, Oklahoma; children Hagen, Hondo and Haize Milam; sisters Jamie Louthan and husband Johnny, KC Lorah and husband Chad, Shannon Milam, Melissa Knill and Sibyl Renteria; and numerous nephews and nieces.
