Bill Mullins

William Harvey Mullins, 87, of Pottsville passed away Sunday, May 26, 2019, in Gatesville.

A private family gathering will be planned at a later date.

Mr. Mullins was born Nov. 9, 1931, in Fort Worth to Augustus and Lois Caldwell Mullins. He attended school in Fort Worth in the Diamond Hill School District before joining the United States Army in 1955. He married Alphia Hooper Copeland in 1959 in Fort Worth.

After discharge from the U.S. Army, Bill worked for LTV and General Dynamics for more than 20 years. He then pursued a career with the US Postal Service, serving in Tyler and Canton. After retiring and moving to Hamilton, Bill worked for the Hamilton County School District.

Survivors include his wife, Alphia Mullins; his children, James Copeland and wife Susan, Don Copeland and Suzan Mullins, and they later adopted Myste Mullins, Jeremy Mullins and Victoria Helman and husband Daniel; granddaughters Megan Copeland, Anna Vestle and several great-grandchildren.
