Berwyn Fisk

Berwyn Leigh Fisk was welcomed into the arms of her loving Savior, during the early morning hours of Oct. 30, 2024, in Gatesville.

Services were held at the Barn Church Nov. 2.

Berwyn was born Sept. 22, 1943, in El Paso to Mr. Earl LaRoy Ball and Mrs. Carmen Womack Ball. Berwyn was the eldest of her siblings, and she was the very proud sister of Hillary, Larry, Danny and Rebecca Ball. Berwyn spent her life deeply rooted in her conservative Christian values.

Berwyn was known for her kind, loving and positive nature. Berwyn was seldom without a smile. Throughout her life she was a dedicated daughter, sister, mother, friend and grandmother.

She enjoyed painting, music and her Bible study group (which she would also use as an excuse to cancel doctor appointments), and copious amounts of black coffee (and a secret saltshaker that she used despite doctor’s orders.)

When Berwyn was asked what she hoped her legacy would be, she reported that she hoped that those who met her were able to see Jesus through her life.

Berwyn married Rodney Fisk on July 22, 1989. They built a life of adventure together seeing many states, riding motorcycles, camping, fishing and spending time with their families. Together they served their community as first responders and volunteers at a local prison ministry, on top of their full-time positions within the workforce.

Berwyn was preceded in death by her parents Earl and Carmen, husband Rod Fisk and best friend Angie Mouser.

Berwyn is survived by children Richard Craig and wife Marissa, Ronnie Craig and fiance Kim Wortham, Becky Vasquez and husband Bobby, Frank Craig and wife Stacie, Rodney Fisk Jr. and Amanda James; 19 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
